Dear Guest,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to our hotel. It is very important to us that all guests feel comfortable, and that the rooms remain in good condition for the next visitors as well.
Unfortunately, there have been occasional cases in the past where rooms were heavily damaged or soiled. This letter is intended to help avoid such misunderstandings — and to spare you from any additional costs that might arise from extensive cleaning or repairs.

Thank you for taking the following points to heart:

Food in the room
Please note that food stored in your room can attract insects. We kindly ask that you enjoy strongly seasoned or greasy dishes at the Hotel Seaside Bärenplatz. Such smells and residues are difficult to remove and could impair the experience of the next guests.
You will also find a microwave and kettle at Bärenplatz, which you are welcome to use. Please feel free to make yourself comfortable there.

Bathroom & Water
Please use the bathtub for showering, and make sure that any shower curtain (if provided) is closed and kept inside the tub while you shower, to prevent water from spilling into the room area.
Kindly use the bath mats provided for you.

Toilet
The toilet in your room has been cleaned and disinfected. Please lift the toilet lid and sit on the toilet seat to use it. Used toilet paper should be disposed in the toilet, while used hygiene products such as sanitary pads or tampons should be wrapped in the provided hygiene bags and disposed of in the bin.

Cosmetics & Care Products
Coloured cosmetics, hair dyes, or other intensive care products often leave permanent stains on towels, linens, and furniture. We ask that you use these products carefully, and please use tissues or similar products for makeup removal.

Bath towels for your trip to the lake
For your visit to the lake, we are happy to provide you with separate bathing towels — please contact reception for these. The white hand and bath towels in the room are for use inside the room only.

Furniture & Sofas
The hotel rooms have been carefully furnished for your comfort. If you would like an extra sofa bed, our housekeeping team will prepare it for you (for an additional fee).
Guests are not permitted to pull or jump on the sofas. Please use the luggage rack to place your suitcase instead of putting it on the bed.

Shoe care
If you would like to clean or polish your shoes, please contact reception, where you can obtain all the necessary supplies.
Please do not use the towels for cleaning shoes.

Washing and drying clothes
If you would like to wash or dry clothes during your stay, please use the hotel’s washing machine and dryer. Information on usage and prices is available at reception.
Please do not hang wet clothes in the room, as this repeatedly leads to water damage or staining, particularly on wooden furniture pieces.

Insects
While mosquitoes can be bothersome due to their bites, insects such as forest cockroaches, flies, ants, centipedes, etc. may be perceived as unhygienic.

IMPORTANT: how to protect yourself from insects in your room:
• Close the terrace doors and windows before switching on the lights
• Refrain from storing food or snacks in your room

Even if mosquitoes, beetles, ants, spiders and other small creatures might seem unpleasant at first glance, they are an important part of the local ecosystem.
You can obtain a mosquito repellent plug-in at reception (deposit: CHF 5.-).

Safety first
Open flames, gas cookers, incense sticks, and charcoal are strictly prohibited in rooms and public areas for safety reasons.

Smoking prohibited
Smoking is strictly forbidden in all rooms and public areas.

Valuables
Please note that Hotel Seaside AG accepts no liability for valuables stored in your room, such as cash, jewellery, electronic devices or identity documents. We recommend you store your valuables in the safe at reception if needed. Thank you for your understanding.

Good tidiness
Please understand that we can only clean your room during your stay if it is in a reasonable state of tidiness. If it is very untidy, we will unfortunately not be able to clean it out of respect for your personal belongings.

Important:
Failure to comply with the recommended guidelines, any damage or special cleaning required due to improper use will unfortunately have to be charged to you (here you can find the cost breakdown in our terms and conditions).
